Andrew Jayich

Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at UC Santa Barbara. Their research focuses on fundamental symmetries using trapped atomic and molecular ions, while also exploring new applications in optical clocks and quantum information science.

He received his bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Yale University under the advisement of Jack Harris. Following the completion of the Ph.D., they conducted postdoctoral research for Wes Campbell, where they worked on laser cooling and trapping atoms using an optical frequency comb.
