First Annual Eddleman Quantum Institute Collaborative Retreat

The three Eddleman Quantum Institutes at UCSB, UCI, and CalTech participated in the inaugural Eddleman Quantum Institutes Collaborative Retreat at Lake Arrowhead.  Five professors and five students/postdocs from each institution gathered for a 2-day retreat to share their research goals and explore future opportunities for collaboration.  A number of topics were discussed, ranging from quantum magnetism to new modes of superconductivity to new ideas in quantum information. The meeting launched what is planned to be an annual gathering of the three institutes to deepen connections and coordinate plans for advancing quantum science.
